CAN YOU FEEL IT?
We're human. We can't help but swoon a bit over a butter-smooth, 3000-grit diamond-polished surface. But there are so many other directions to go. Take the coral-ish texture of our new ditch bridge. Like the real thing, it's beautiful, organic and complex, and you'll draw blood if you rub it too hard. We wouldn't want it any other way.

We are minoralterations. We live in the trees outside of Washington, DC.
We design and make the things you see on this site. We start with shapes and textures pulled from pre-landfill leftovers (cans, cartons, tubs and jugs, salvaged building materials, worn clothing, roadside furniture), adapt humble hardware store supplies to unintended purposes, and create new, beautiful and useful things.
